Will the driver wait during the service?

Yes. The driver remains with the vehicle for the full duration of the service, burial or cremation, ready for the onward journey to the wake or family home.

Can you arrange multiple vehicles for the family and mourners?

Yes. For larger funerals I coordinate with a trusted network of local executive operators so one point of contact covers every vehicle.

What vehicle options are available for funeral transfers?

A discreet executive Mercedes saloon for immediate family, 6 or 8-seater MPVs for mourners, and multi-vehicle plans for larger gatherings. All vehicles are clean, unmarked and driven smartly.

Do you liaise with funeral directors?

Absolutely. I can speak directly with the funeral director, church or crematorium to confirm timings, routes and any last-minute changes so the family does not have to manage transport details.

Can you collect mourners from hotels, airports or train stations?

Yes. Many guests travel from outside the area. I can arrange pickups from Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Glasgow Central, hotels and private addresses, timed to arrive at the service together.

How much notice do you need for a funeral transfer?

Same-day or next-day bookings are often possible, but a few days' notice helps me reserve the right vehicle and coordinate multiple pickups. Even at short notice, I'll do my best to accommodate.

What if plans change on the day?

Funeral days can be fluid. I build flexibility into every booking and stay in direct contact with the family or funeral director throughout.

Do you offer accessible or wheelchair-friendly funeral transport?

Wheelchair-accessible vehicles can be arranged on request. Please mention any mobility needs when booking so I can confirm the right vehicle and driver assistance.

How is pricing calculated for a funeral transfer?

Pricing is based on distance, waiting time, vehicle size and the number of pickup or drop-off points. I'll provide a clear, fixed quote before the day so there are no surprises.

Can you make stops at the church, crematorium and wake venue?

Yes. A single booking can cover multiple legs — for example home → church → crematorium → hotel or family home for the wake — all planned as one calm itinerary.

How do I book and pay?

Call or message any time — including evenings. I'll confirm the plan in writing and invoice afterwards, or take card payment in advance if preferred.

Is your driver dressed appropriately for a funeral?

Yes. I dress in dark, smart attire and keep the journey quiet and respectful. The aim is to be present but unobtrusive throughout the day.

Prepay (held) — We pre-authorise the quoted fare on your card — the money is held, not taken. Our office checks the job for any extras and approves it, and only then is the payment taken. You can pay in your own currency; the fare is settled against its GBP value.When: the estimate is held on your card the moment you book. It is only taken after our office approves the job — usually within a few hours. If the final fare is lower, you are charged the lower amount; anything extra (waiting time, extra stops) is agreed with you first.If verification fails: no money is taken and the hold is released automatically (your bank may show a pending line for a day or two). Your booking stays in place as unpaid — we email and text you a fresh secure payment link, and if it still will not go through you can switch to paying the driver or by bank transfer without losing the booking.
Card after ride — Save your card securely now — we charge the final fare when the driver marks the ride complete, then email your receipt.When: nothing is taken at booking — we only check the card is valid. The final fare is charged after the ride, once the driver marks the journey complete, and a receipt is emailed to you.If verification fails: the card is not saved and nothing is charged. Your booking is not cancelled — we contact you for another card, or you can pay the driver on the day.
Direct Debit — Set up a UK Direct Debit mandate now with your sort code and account number. The final fare is collected from your bank account after the journey — ideal for regular and account travel. Protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.When: nothing is taken at booking. The final fare is collected from your bank account a few working days after the ride, with advance notice under the Direct Debit Guarantee.If the mandate or a collection fails: your bank rejects it and we email you. The booking stands and we will ask for another payment method — no charge is applied twice.
Bank transfer — We email you our account name, sort code and account number with a payment reference as soon as you book. The payment must be showing in our account before your journey starts — if it hasn't cleared by then, your driver will be told to collect the fare from you instead.When: you pay before the ride. We email our bank details and a reference when you book, and the money must show in our account before pickup.

Nothing is charged and any hold is released by your bank. Your booking is kept — we email and text you a new secure payment link, and if the card still will not verify you can pay the driver on the day, by bank transfer, or over the phone. We only cancel a job if you ask us to.

All prices are quoted and settled in GBP. Card payments are handled by our secure payment providers — we never store your full card details.
